If you've ever wanted to dip your toes into a "box" style controller, this is your chance. The Open Frame1 is a fully opensource design made for Smash, while being customisable enough for anything you want to throw at it.
This OpenFrame1 (OF1) comes with a high-quality PCB and hotswap sockets for keyboard style switches, along with a 3D printed enclosure and buttons. If you ever want to see what a different keyboard switch feels like, you can change this over to use any other MX compatible switches. Want to try a new color? Just get some new keycaps printed!
Because each of these OF1s is made to order, you can pay a little extra to have it done in a custom color or with a custom switch style. If this is something you're interested in, just get in touch before your place your order to explore the options.
Before purchasing, we recommend you try and equivalent product. A 3D printed case and keycaps are never going to reach the level of quality of an injection molded part. This is fine for general use, but you shouldn't expect this to compete with a mass-produced part when it comes to the quality of the plastics or the fit-and-finish.

If you know someone who is able to 3D print these parts for you, it may be significantly cheaper to print these yourself. If you'd like to just purchase a pre-made PCB, get in touch.
